Food Technology:-

Food technology is a branch of science which deals with the manufacturing, transporting, packing, labeling, quality management of food and also help us to identify which food is suitable for our diet.

Field in food science:-

1) Food microbiology:-

Food microbiology focuses on how bacteria, virus, yeasts connect with food. It focuses on food safety. It is not possible to stop the growth of micro organism but it is possible to slow down their growth.

So, How to slow down their growth?

First of all we want to focus on killing bacteria without killing food quality and it will easily slow down their growth.

2) Food engineering and processing:-

Food engineering and processing focuses on how to convert raw material into food with proper safety and having long lasting period without spoiling. Food engineering give a new look to raw material and made our diet tasty, healthy.

3) Food chemistry and biochemistry:-

Food chemistry helps us for the production of food by studying the activity of enzyme and other compound it will increase the production of food. Food chemistry also indicates the arrangement of molecule and inquire us about the state (liquid, solid) of food.

4) Nutrition:-

Nutrition plays a very vital role in providing energy to our body. There are two types of nutrition micro nutrition and macro nutrition which help in formation of slim and trim body. Need of nutrition is very important in our diet .In sports field nutrition is very important. It boost their immune system and help in growth of muscle.

5) Sensory analysis:-

In human body there are total five senses. Senses help us to evaluate flavor, texture, appearance of food which help us to detect whether the food is good or spoiled without sense it is difficult to detect the condition of food.
