Google ने अपनी नीतियों का उल्लंघन करने के लिए प्ले स्टोर से लोकप्रिय भारतीय वित्तीय सेवा ऐप पेटीएम को खींच लिया है। पेटीएम भारत का सबसे मूल्यवान स्टार्टअप है और 50 मिलियन मासिक सक्रिय उपयोगकर्ताओं का दावा करता है। इसका मार्की ऐप, जो भारत में Google पे के साथ प्रतिस्पर्धा करता है, शुक्रवार से पहले देश के प्ले स्टोर से गायब हो गया था। Google ने कहा कि Play Store ऑनलाइन कैसीनो और अन्य अनियमित जुआ ऐप्स को प्रतिबंधित करता है जो भारत में खेल सट्टेबाजी की सुविधा प्रदान करते हैं। पेटीएम, जिसने अपने मार्की ऐप के भीतर फंतासी खेल सेवा को बढ़ावा दिया है, प्ले स्टोर की नीतियों का बार-बार उल्लंघन किया है, इस मामले से परिचित दो लोगों ने टेकक्रंच को बताया। पेटीएम की फंतासी स्पोर्ट्स सेवा, जिसे पेटीएम फर्स्ट गेम्स कहा जाता है, एक स्टैंडअलोन ऐप के रूप में भी उपलब्ध थी और इसे प्ले स्टोर से भी खींचा गया है। एंड्रॉइड-निर्माता, जो अधिकांश अन्य बाजारों में जुए के आसपास इसी तरह के दिशानिर्देशों को बनाए रखता है, इसके अतिरिक्त यह ध्यान दिया जाता है कि अगर कोई ऐप उपभोक्ताओं को बाहरी वेबसाइट की ओर ले जाता है
